DualShield MFA for Outlook Anywhere provides two options for MFA implementation, Zero Footprint (aka agent-less) and Addon (aka agent-basedDevice-Base Authentication (DBA) and Agent-Based Authentication (ABA).
The agentDevice-less option Based Authentication does not require end users to install any additional software on their PCs or laptops, but it only supports therefore it is also called Agentless or Zero Footprint. This implementation uses the user's device ID as the second factor authentication method.
The agentAgent-based option Based Authentication supports all types of credentials as the second factor authentication methodauthentication methods such as One-Time Password etc, but it requires end users to install an Outlook Addon, the DualShield Outlook Agent software, on their PCs and workstations.
