DualShield is a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) platform that is used to secure all types of applications with two-factor authentication or multi-factor authentication.

Generally speaking, a complete DualShield platform consist of 3 tiers of components. Namely, the Authentication Server, the Authentication Agent and the Authentication Client.

Typically, the DualShield Authenticaiton Server is integrated with the customer's Active Directory

DualShield uses a SQL database as its data storage. By default, DualShield includes a instance of local MySQL server. Optionally, customers can opt out and use their own remote SQL server such as Microsoft SQL or Oracle.
